Ashley Hicks moved to at least 17 different places between the ages of 11 and 14. Her mentor since age 13, Kathy Langdo, just wanted to see the moves stop. Kathy and her husband Phil got a special home study to become Ashley’s “foster” parents but they had more permanent intentions in mind. Listen to Ashley tell her story of how she was morally adopted by the Langdo’s 12 years ago and what role they played and continue to play in Ashley’s life today. Ashley has an BSW, MSW, is a therapeutic foster care worker, owns her own home, and she is still only 25 years old. This is a must listen interview to learn the power of recruiting permanent parents for our older teens from their very own networks. Pat and Chester host: Play Radio Show Here
