Our guest this evening is Doogie Lish Sandtiger. Doogie left foster care at 16 because the State was not meeting his needs and became homeless for a significant period of time while continuing to attend school. He ultimately moved in with one of his closest friend’s parents, a move that could have happened while he was in foster care but due to bureaucratic obstacles it did not. After obtaining two Associates degree and a bachelor’s degrees, Doogie graduated last May with his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in poetry. Hear his fascinating and inspiring story and one of his most powerful poems. Pat O’Brien and Chester Jackson hosts Play Radio Show Here
