Post Adoption Resources

Adoption is a Lifelong Journey

We believe that all members of the adoption circle should have access to education, support, and resources at every stage of life.

Post Adoption Helpline: [email protected] or 800-952-9302 ext. 2371

We are here to help. Our Post Adoption Helpline is staffed by adoption social workers who are ready to talk with you about post adoption issues. They are able to offer helpful ideas and suggestions as well as provide resources and referrals. This is not a therapeutic helpline and is answered during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CT). All staff are mandated reporters.

Connect With Adoptive Families

Many adoptive families have a desire to connect with others who have adopted from the same program. By completing and submitting the form, you are allowing Children’s Home and LSS to connect you with other families. You will indicate below the contact information you are comfortable having shared. Once we receive your form, you will receive a monthly email that includes information about others who want to connect. This service is open to all adoptive families, regardless of placing agency.

The information you provide on this form is for the purpose of self-organized events and communication between families. These connections will not be facilitated by Children’s Home and LSS staff.
